Memorial Hall
Ipswich 2003
Memorial Hall was constructed in 1921 to honor the Ipswich veterans of World War I. Situated on a largely inaccessible site, it had been vacant for several years. Adjacent to Memorial Hall are 33 elderly apartments owned and managed by the nonprofit Oak Hill, Inc. They plan to rehabilitate Memorial Hall to create 7 elderly rental apartments that will be linked by a covered walkway to Oak Hill’s facility, making Memorial Hall fully accessible.
Memorial Hall is in the center of Ipswich making the town’s shops and services easily accessible as well as providing a vibrant living context for the elderly residents.
