Turners Falls 2000
Under the sponsorship of The Franklin County Regional Housing and Redevelopment Authority, two prime buildings in the center of Turners Falls have been transformed from eyesores to beautiful historically restored properties. One building, formerly a bank, provides affordable housing for eight households plus a visitor's center and offices for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The second property, originally row housing for mill workers, has been reconfigured to create efficient modern apartments. Full occupancy of these buildings has brought new vitality to Turners Falls and provided a significant boost to the revitalization of this small business district.
